I’ve just returned from Cancun, Mexico, where I attended a 3-day personal development conference called BreakThrough™.
The conference promised to be “… extremely interactive, engaging and totally transformative; moving one powerfully into a place of deep connection with self, family and community; opening one fully into realization of one’s highest potential, personal power and limitless possibility.” Quite a challenge, wouldn’t you agree?
However, aligning themselves with a host of world-class inspirational speakers, motivational trainers and amazing entertainers with the goal of always keeping their events fresh, powerful, fun and innovative, let me tell you: LifePath Unlimited achieved all that and some!
BreakThrough presenters included:
Troy Bassham, a world-class rifle shooter who won 12 US National Championships, set 4 National Records and won the CISM World Championship in 1999. A member of the Bronze Medal winning team in the 2002 World Championships for the USA, from 1994 to the present, Troy has worked with hundreds of athletes with their mental game, developing dozens of National Champions.
Patrick Combs, a renowned success coach, bona fide best-selling author and a Hall of Fame speaker who has spoken to more than a thousand organizations and universities and helped thousands upon thousands of individuals break through to new levels of success.
David Goggins, an extraordinary athlete, an elite ultra-Marathoner, a philanthropic machine and an accidental role model.

Sean Stephenson, expected to die at birth, suffered more than 200 bone fractures by the age of 18, reached a height of only 3 feet and is permanently confined to a wheelchair. Despite his challenges, he took a stand for a quality of life that has inspired millions of people around the world – working with Tony Robbins, Richard Branson, President Clinton and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

And more …
And if that weren’t enough, I broke an arrow and bent steel rebar with the soft spot of my neck/throat and walked barefoot across timbers that had very recently been burning at 1200°C! Quite a daunting prospect until you actually do any of these things.
Lesson learnt:
Committing anything less than 100% to achieving your goal can be disastrous and hurt!
Now there’s something to think about …

DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE AND POWER OF ENTHUSIASM
“We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about.”
When choosing an MLM or direct sales business opportunity, be sure to have used the product on offer and enjoyed or gained some significant benefit from it yourself. Only then will you be knowledgeable about the product and understand its benefits. Only then will you be comfortable with and confident in selling it to someone else. Only then can you possibly be enthusiastic about the product and enthusiasm can certainly be a most powerful sales weapon to have in your arsenal.
When I decided to start up my own business, the first thing I did was to look for a company to work with whose product offering was of interest to me personally and with which I had some empathy. All my working life, I have been passionate about personal development and a “performance coaching” culture. So, when I discovered a company promoting a business opportunity that offered best-in-class personal and prosperity development products, I was inevitably drawn to and excited by the prospect of working with them. Having now used, experienced and been inspired by those products, I can wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend them. And, I’m having fun doing so!
Of course, I am not advocating that you choose a business based on the product offering alone. You still need to conduct due diligence research and check out its income plan, duplicatable marketing system, training and support, etc. However, it is my considered opinion that the product offering should definitely form the starting point.
“If you have zest and enthusiasm, you attract zest and enthusiasm. Life does give back in kind.”
- Charles Kingsley
